Featuring a cast of 50, Annie Get Your Gun showcases the younger members of
the company who have grown into the leading roles. At
age 12, Taylor Rector of Annapolis is already a six-year singing and dancing veteran of
Talent Machine, and she takes on her first lead this summer as sharpshooter Annie Oakley. The man she falls in love with, Frank Butler, is
played by 14-year-old Matt Keffer of Crofton, who joined the company two years ago. Other leads will be played by Hana Thornhill, 13,
of Bowie; Edward Hartman, 14, of Pasadena; Jordan Klein, 14, of Annapolis; Ross Koenig,
13, of Crofton; Kyle Sweeney, 14 of Crofton; Scott Simpson, 10, of Millersville; and
Griffin Palmer, 13, of Crofton. Nearly half
of the cast is new to TMC, bringing their own special energy and talent to the group.
Directing Annie Get Your Gun will be accomplished performer
and dancer Lea Capps, daughter of the Talent Machines late founder, Bobbi Smith. New to TMC is the choreographer for Annie
, who will also direct and choreograph
Anything Goes.
His name is, coincidentally, Bobby Smith, a performer and choreographer in the area
for 25 years. The music director for both
shows is Nicole Roblyer, a former TMCer and successful performer.
